As a neonatal physical therapist, Ginny McGill is dedicated to the new beginning of each baby in her care. She believes babies are the best of us and deserve our best in neonatal care and neonatal therapy. They deserve, not just lifesaving, but life building care. To help babies build towards the life ahead, NeoPT hopes to provide and support innovative ideas in the field through collaboration among neonatal providers.
Why Neo- ? Neo means new and different. I am here to help and support other therapists in their neonatal practice or research using abdominal wall support. This is new and different for me as well and I hope through collaboration we can advance how therapists improve the lives of neonates. Ginny@neophysicaltherapy.com.
NeoBellyBand
was created by Ginny to support abdominal wall integrity. Since publishing the article linked above, clinical cases were presented at NANT in 2023. Three kinds of therapists emerged. Those already down the path of abdominal wall treatment, those wanting to start and those wanting to study it. Some were using materials that were suboptimal to provide abdominal wall support and wanted to access the material discussed. Some wanted the rationale and clinical tools for discussion with their teams and implementation. And still others wanted to be a part of further research. The goal of this site is to share this information in a forum that allows interaction and collaboration. To access the material please visit the product link at the top of this page. To access clinical tools please read the know how section after noting the disclaimer.
